The 3rd China Ferrous Derivatives International Conference 2018, which was led by the China Iron and Steel Association and supported by the China Futures Industry Association, will be held in Pudong Shangri-La Hotel Shanghai on June 21 - 22 2018 by the CCPIT (China Council for the Promotion of International Trade) Metallurgical Industry Sub-Council and Shanghai Ganglian Holdings Co Ltd (www.mysteel.com).
In the past few years, the long-suffering iron and steel industry has come to a new transit point, into a new era of high-quality development thanks to the unswerving supply-side reform, the better competition environment, and have again enjoyed margins in steel sales. It is also with new and rare opportunities in front for structural optimization, technological upgrading so as to tackle fundamental issues so as to achieve a sustainable development. Meanwhile, China’s steel futures market in China is enjoying a continuing and rapid growth, and some commodities are witnessing their prices developing into the benchmark in the international commodities and financial markets, providing the market participants with effective and efficient hedging tools. The commodities exchanges both in China and abroad will develop and launch more steel-related derivative products including futures, options and swaps to complete the basket of global ferrous commodities. The derivatives market, undoubtedly, will play a growingly significant role in the development of the iron and steel industry.
